AirAsia has just celebrated its love for the Philippines’ top white beach destination, Boracay Island in the annual Love Boracay festivities from April 30 to May 1, on Station 2, White Beach.
“We take pride in being this year’s official airline partner of the festivities celebrating the world-renowned island of Boracay. We remain strongly committed in our partnership with the local government and tourism stakeholders in pushing for initiatives that will be both beneficial in ensuring the continued success of the travel and tourism industry. In 2024, we flew around 1.3 million guests to Caticlan and Kalibo, cementing our position as one of the market leaders in the Province of Aklan, flying in tourists who stimulate local economic activity” said AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla.
As a way to inspire responsible and purposeful travel, as well as to gift the local community with free live entertainment, AirAsia flew in mainstream OPM artists, House DJs and top volleyball players from Manila to participate in this two-day event.
On the first day’s event, hailed as the Live OPM Music Festival, a throng of people filled the beachfront of Red Coconut Beach Resort to watch their favorite singers and bands perform, beginning with the all-girl singing group, KAIA, the all-male pop rock band, The Juans, singer Denise Julia, and, The Itchyworms band.
Asia’s leading low-cost airline renders true hospitality like no other, with its talented flight crew giving additional entertainment to the audience in a dance number, as well as in emceeing for the events.
On Labor Day, AirAsia presented more surprises, through an exhibition game between the AirAsia’s All-Stars crew and Philippine Volleyball League star players, Rona Joy Doromal and Kyla Atienza. This fun match was followed by the Beach Foam Party, headed by Manila’s on-demand DJs, such as Tom Taus, KatDJ, and Ron Poe.
“It’s no longer La-Boracay, but Love Boracay. So there’s more reasons to love the island. It’s not only about partying. It’s about the entire experience and the purposeful journey with family, friends and loved ones,” stated First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia’s Country Head of Communications and Public Affairs.
To further promote responsible and purposeful travels, passengers will be able to claim 20% OFF on food and beverage at Feliz Hotel, Epic Boracay, Tides Boracay and The Lind Boracay when they present their boarding pass with travel dates from April 1 till July 31.
Also, guests may still avail of AirAsia’s Php 544 one-way base fare to Caticlan until 04 May with a travel period from April 7 to September 30, 2025.
Watch out for AirAsia’s direct international flights to Boracay via Caticlan and Kalibo launching soon.
