Dining Outside: Saturday Night Eat-All-You-Can Buffet at Dos Mestizos Asador

One of the main attractions in Tagaytay is its array of places to eat. People from Manila often drive to this hilly town over the weekend to spend their evenings at a diner where they could share good food and drinks, feel the fresh air and experience personal touch and genuine care from the staff, quite like at Dos Mestizos Asador.

Known for its Spanish-Filipino heritage cuisine, signature Sangria and heartwarming hospitality,  Dos Mestizos Asador stands a few minutes away from Taal Volcano’s famous ridgeview with nearby restaurants in Silang, Cavite, such as Asiong Caviteno Restaurant, Bawai’s Vietnamese Kitchen, and Anya Resort’s Samira Restaurant.

Like Dos Mestizos Boracay, Dos Mestizos Asador bequests a homely atmosphere where people can experience beautiful memories, delight in sumptuous tapas and paellas, unwind over cocktails and wine, and receive personal care by its owners.

Since its grand opening in May, people have been flocking in this restaurant to partake in their delectable Spanish-Filipino heritage offerings, especially the Saturday Tapas and Pintxos Night Buffet.

Eat-All-You-Can Buffet at Dos Mestizos Asador

A delightful tradition carried over by founding Chef Binggoy Remedios from his famous restaurant in Boracay, Dos Mestizos Asador’s Tapas Buffet doles out a variety of fresh-cooked Spanish tapas made with real quality ingredients served on earthenware over a burner to keep them warm, ready and delicious for diners who simply can’t wait to eat after a long drive from Manila.

Whilst high ceilings, natural light and cool breeze passing through open walls, and a relaxing dining space, guests get to savor their eat-all-you-can tapas picks, consisting of Tortilla de Patatas, Calamares Fritos, all-time favorites Salpicao de Pescado and Salpicao de Vaca (fish and beef salpicao), Jamon and Manchego Platter, Ensalada de Pulpo (octopus salad), Chorizo Hecho por Dos Mestizos (homemade Spanish sausage), Croquettes de Jamon (ham and bechamel croquettes), Albondigas (beef meatballs in tomato sauce), Pate de Pollo (duck fat sealed chicken liver pate), assorted wood-fire oven-baked from pizza, and more.

From 6pm until 10pm, guests can have as many servings as they like from the Tapas Buffet for P980++ per person only. Their signature Sangria, Spanish wines, as well as non-alcoholic and alcohol craft beers from Estrella Galicia, go very well in enhancing the flavor of these sumptuous tapas.

For other Spanish cravings, Dos Mestizos Asador also serves a selection of their ala carte specialties, among which are Braised Lamb Shanks, Prime Rib Eye Steaks, Cochinillo (roasted suckling pig), Lengua de Vaca (beef tongue), Boquerones (wine marinated anchovies), Lentejas con Chorizo (lentil soup with chorizo), Paellas, and Salads.

With Dos Mestizos Asador’s Saturday night eat-all-you-can buffet, weekend getaways in Tagaytay are now more enticing.
