An array of locally made award-winning beers, sharing plates, and a semi-quiet and laid-back spot with industrial style interiors in the south, what more could you ask for? Elias Wicked Ales & Spirits now has a branch located on the 2nd Floor of Madison Galeries Lifestyle Mall in Muntinlupa City.
If you’ve never heard about Elias or are unfamiliar with their beers, let me bring you up to speed and list some of their awards: Asia Beer Championship 2021 - Bronze Award, Asia Beer Championship 2022 - Country Champion Brewery, Asia Beer Championship 2023 - Country Champion Brewery, Asia Beer Championship 2023 - Champion Beer of Asia for their Summer Breeze Saison. In the 2024 Asia Beer Championship, among 800 beer entries from 13 different countries, they took home five golds, one silver, and five bronze medals.
The beers are separated into sections to better understand or give you an idea of the flavor profiles of the many options that are on tap. Taking a quick look at the menu on their website, or on the screens above the bar, you’ll see that there’s Light And Easy, Hard Ciders, Hop Forward, Dark And Delicious, Sour Ales, Extraordinary, and Cocktails.
A complete newbie to the beer world may feel a little intimidated by all the options, but the bar staff are friendly and always quick to help out. They even offer a taste test if you’re interested in a specific one but aren’t entirely sure, or they may recommend one based on what you already like to drink. We were told that the bestseller is currently the Viking’s Honey Mead with Dalandan, and it’s easy to see why. It’s light and fresh and not too overpowering. Definitely easy to drink and pairs well with many types of food. They also have other fruity options like the Tropical Lychee and Verry Berry Seltzers. Other options in the Light And Easy category include pale ales called Hey Crush Session and Mixtape. The Dark And Delicious category contains some memorable titles like Midnight Serenade, which is a dark lager, and Darker Vader Stout.
