The 27th Mabuhay Awards-themed Pili At Pino was held at the New World Makati Hotel on the 4th of November 2024. This annual event is the best place to see the stars of the hospitality industry from all over the country. The attendees donned their very best Filipino-inspired gowns and Barongs and were ready to celebrate the best of the best in the hospitality field.Â
First, a quick backstory on the Mabuhay Awards. Before it was called the Mabuhay Awards, it was known as the Gawad Lingkod Award and started in 1984. It eventually became the Mabuhay Awards in 1995 and is brought to us by the Association of Human Resources Managers Philippines, also recognized by its abbreviation AHRM. The AHRM aims to acknowledge and honor the outstanding service and commitment of Filipino hospitality from professionals all over the Philippines. From rank-and-file staff, up to managers and executives of restaurants, hotels, and resorts. They shed light on all who work hard to contribute to the country’s reputation of having world-class hospitality.Â
There was much cheering and applause from colleagues and fellow hospitality workers. The crowd had an overall vibrant energy and you can feel the deep support for the nominees. Some even brought props to cheer them along with whoops and hollers. Take a look at this year’s list of winners.
