As a popular tourist destination in the Philippines, Boracay definitely offers all kinds of cuisines for everyone. Just by walking along the 4.5 kilometer strip of white beach will give you a sumptuous preview of the island’s international gastronomy, be it Italian, American, Japanese, Indian, Korean, German, French and lots more.
If you, however, take a closer look around the beach front of boat station 1, you will find a quaint restaurant with a festive Latin American kitchen and bar, called Muchos.

Known for its Tacos and Birria Tacos, Muchos renders typical dishes from Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil and Columbia, evolved with vibrant flavors, protein and fiber-rich sides, as well as gluten-free variants. Thus, attracting a market of quintessential foodies, healthy diners, vegans, and those craving for robust Latino dishes,

One such dish is Pao de Quiejo, a cheese bread that originated in Brazil, is made with non-gluten tapioca flour and filled with parmesan and cheddar, perfect as a hearty snack on the beach.
Another nutrient snack is Elote, conveniently shredded corn from its cob, augmented with homemade mayonnaise and sour cream plus a dash of Mexican seasonings.

And if these starters make your mouth water, you might want to move on to Ceviche Clasico, fresh-caught fish that is marinated in a profusion of lime, herbs and spices.

If you want to keep your meal light, then a must-try is Gambas Quinotto, a delectable seafood meal enhanced with chimichurri sauce and paired with quinotto, Muchos’ wordplay of quinoa and risotto, instead of using rice to make the risotto. Not to mention, utilizing local ingredients, they’ve added Kesong Puti (white cheese made from Carabao’s milk) in place of the traditional Parmesan cheese in a risotto.
Another main dish with a twist of Muchos is Arroz con Pollo, grilled chicken with roasted bell peppers, paired with green cilantro-infused rice.

While traditional Latin American desserts contain spices, you can expect to savor a hefty dessert of Buñuelos, fried donuts with cinnamon and a dip of chili chocolate.
For refreshments, Muchos serves a wide range of healthy beverages and premium alcoholic drinks. You can have seasonal fresh fruit juices, kombucha in different varieties, mocktails as well as Tequila and Mezcal, which when consumed in low moderation is said to support gut health because of the fibrous agave nectar it is cultivated from.
Muchos menu streams with more succulent Latin dishes, employed with consciously sourced ingredients, all of which prepared and cooked upon order.
So if you are visiting Boracay Island, be sure to dine at Muchos where your senses are not only tantalized but also nurtured.
