Cathay Pacific has officially launched a new direct passenger service between Hong Kong and Seattle, marking a significant expansion of its North American network and enhancing connectivity between Asia and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Operating five times weekly, the new route represents the only non-stop air service currently linking the two dynamic cities. Flights are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering travelers greater flexibility for both business and leisure travel.
The route is operated using Cathay Pacific’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft, renowned for its fuel efficiency, advanced technology, and passenger comfort. Customers can choose from three cabin classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy—each designed to deliver a high-quality inflight experience with modern amenities and enhanced comfort.
The introduction of the Seattle service brings Cathay Pacific’s North American network to nine destinations, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to rebuilding and growing its global network while meeting rising demand for international travel.
“This new non-stop service between Hong Kong and Seattle highlights our continued focus on providing customers with greater choice and convenience,” said a Cathay Pacific spokesperson. “Seattle is an important gateway city with strong business, technology, and tourism ties to Asia, and we are proud to offer the only direct connection between these two vibrant hubs.”
During the peak summer travel season, Cathay Pacific plans to operate close to 120 return flights per week across its North American routes, reflecting robust demand and the airline’s strategic emphasis on transpacific travel.
The Seattle launch further reinforces Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub, while offering seamless onward connections across Asia through Cathay Pacific’s extensive network.
