Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has announced a change in portfolio for former Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Frasco, who will now lead other national initiatives at the community level.

Frasco has been appointed Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities, focusing on initiatives to address the country's increasing climate-related disruptions. Tourism Undersecretary Verna Buensuceso will temporarily lead the DOT as Officer in Charge.
President Marcos expressed gratitude for Frasco's service and confidence in her continued support for the administration's priorities. The Presidential Communications Office has denied reports that Frasco resigned as DOT Secretary, citing a shift in portfolio.
