NEWS: The Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair 2026 to Connect Global Buyers with Indonesia’s Tourism Industry

The Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF) 2026 will be held from 15–17 October 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, bringing together international tourism buyers and Indonesian tourism businesses for three days of business exchange, networking and industry engagement.

Now in its third edition, WITF has expanded significantly since its debut in 2024. Attendance increased from around 2,000 participants in its inaugural year to nearly 4,000 in 2025. Across its first two editions, the event welcomed 320 international buyers from 42 countries, 300 national corporate buyers, 470 national corporate sellers and 21,300 attendees, highlighting its growing role as a platform for tourism trade and collaboration.

“For 2026, more than 100 buyers from 32 countries and 80 Indonesian exhibitors have already registered,” said Budi Tirtawisata, chairman of the WITF 2026 steering committee. He said the event aims to foster stronger connections, create new business opportunities and support Jakarta and Indonesia in building a more competitive, inclusive and sustainable tourism sector.

The 2026 B2B marketplace will bring together a broad range of tourism stakeholders, including destinations, hotels, destination management companies, airlines, attractions and other tourism-related businesses. Business matching, networking and contracting opportunities will form the core of the program, providing participants with opportunities to develop commercial partnerships and explore new markets.

Beyond the trade floor, WITF 2026 will feature conference sessions addressing key issues shaping the future of tourism. Topics will include emerging tourism trends, sustainable tourism, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, destination marketing, investment, aviation, hospitality, MICE and community-based tourism.

Tourism agents and industry professionals will also have the opportunity to hear from leading tourism figures during the 17 October session, while eligible participants can take part in pre- and post-event familiarization trips designed to provide deeper exposure to Indonesian destinations and tourism products.

The event will also highlight Indonesia’s cultural heritage and tourism potential as Jakarta approaches its milestone of five centuries.

“As we celebrate the journey toward five centuries of Jakarta, this event also showcases the richness of Indonesia’s cultural heritage and reinforces our collective commitment to positioning Indonesia as a leading global tourism destination,” said Dr Ir H. Hariyadi B. Sukamdani, MM, chairman of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association.

With its expanding international participation and focus on commercial partnerships, knowledge exchange and sustainable tourism development, WITF 2026 is set to strengthen connections between Indonesia’s tourism industry and markets around the world.
