Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: WH) today announced key leadership appointments following a comprehensive search process. Amit Sripathi has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and David Wilner, a 30-year franchise sales veteran, will assume the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO) – North America. Both executives will report directly to Geoff Ballotti, President and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Sripathi succeeds Kurt Albert, who has served as interim CFO since November. “Amit’s combination of deep finance and capital markets expertise, coupled with firsthand operational leadership at Wyndham, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our finance organization,” said Ballotti. “Amit has consistently championed our owners, driving record openings, strong execution, and robust development pipelines both in the U.S. and internationally. We are confident in his ability to capture opportunities that enhance profitability for our franchisees while delivering sustainable returns to shareholders.”
Since joining Wyndham in 2021, Sripathi has held multiple leadership roles, contributing to 20 consecutive quarters of organic net room growth and overseeing the divestiture of the company’s owned hotels. Prior to Wyndham, he held leadership positions in capital markets and corporate finance at RLJ Lodging Trust and served in the real estate, lodging, and gaming investment banking group at Deutsche Bank.
“Amit Sripathi brings a unique combination of financial discipline and operational insight,” said Ballotti. “His experience will help Wyndham continue its track record of delivering for our owners and shareholders while advancing our long-term growth objectives.”
Sripathi commented, “Wyndham’s asset-light franchise business model consistently delivers value for both owners and shareholders. My focus will remain on maintaining rigorous financial discipline and capital allocation to achieve long-term growth and maximize shareholder returns. I look forward to partnering with the leadership team to enhance value creation and strengthen the ‘Count on Me’ culture that defines Wyndham.”
In his new role, Wilner will lead Wyndham’s North American franchise sales and architecture, design, and construction teams. Over nearly eight years at Wyndham, he has helped franchisees leverage the Wyndham Advantage and launched the ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham brand. Prior to Wyndham, Wilner spent 20 years in franchise sales leadership at La Quinta.
“David Wilner has a proven record of translating owners’ needs into strategic growth,” said Ballotti. “From leading development at La Quinta to driving expansion across multiple Wyndham brands, he is a trusted partner to owners and teams alike, focused on accelerating domestic net room growth.”
Wilner added, “I am excited to continue driving franchise growth across Wyndham’s portfolio. Our focus remains on supporting owners, enhancing our brands, and delivering exceptional experiences for guests and franchise partners alike.”
