METRO MANILA, Philippines — What do 49 alumni behind Michelin-recognized restaurants in the Philippines have in common? They all came from one school.

The college’s latest roster grows from 30 alumni in the inaugural edition of the Michelin Guide in the Philippines to 49 this year, with graduates representing culinary arts, scholarship programs, professional certifications, and business management.

Announced on October 29, 2026, the Guide’s second Philippine selection features 127 establishments, including 10 Michelin-Starred restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand recipients, and 86 Michelin Selected restaurants. For Enderun Colleges, the results bring new achievements and continued recognition for restaurants where its alumni work.

The roster spans graduates of its Culinary Arts degree, certificate programs, scholarship programs, and wine certifications. It also includes a Marketing Management graduate, reflecting the range of careers that support the country’s recognized dining establishments.

The Story of Flow flew to Michelin

Among the year’s milestones is FLOW’s first Michelin Star. The Makati restaurant brings together several Enderun graduates, including co-executive chefs Kevin Uy and Gabriel “Gato” Ong, Sous Chef Betina Carangan, and Chef de Partie Patricia Bautista.

Uy and Ong graduated in 2016 from Enderun’s BS International Hospitality Management program, specializing in Culinary Arts. Their careers took them through different international kitchens before they established their partnership at FLOW. Uy spent five years in Peru with the group behind Central, Mil, and Mater Iniciativa. Ong, meanwhile, developed his experience at Alain Ducasse at Morpheus in Macau and Amber in Hong Kong.

Their work now contributes to a restaurant that examines the culinary cultures and ingredients of Peru and the Philippines. Carangan and Bautista extend the Enderun connection into the kitchen’s daily preparation and execution, showing how several graduates can contribute to one restaurant’s achievement.

Notable additions to Enderun’s latest roster also include Youth with a Future graduates working at FLOW and Cirkulo. Their inclusion highlights the scholarship program’s contribution to the teams behind Michelin-recognized restaurants.

Launched in 2014, Youth with a Future is a joint initiative of Enderun Colleges and École Ducasse in Paris that provides culinary scholarships to students from Tuloy Foundation. The foundation supports young people through shelter, education, and vocational training. Scholars build on their training at Tuloy’s culinary center through further instruction at Enderun, followed by support with internships and employment.

With program graduates now contributing to Michelin-Starred FLOW and Michelin Selected Cirkulo, the initiative’s impact extends into recognized professional kitchens. Their careers demonstrate how access to training, mentorship, and employment opportunities can help scholars establish a place in the culinary industry.

Enderun-Marked: More Stars in the Scene

The 2027 roster also includes Rafael Cruz, an Enderun Marketing Management graduate and the current Chief Operating Officer of the LJC Group. Abé’s Taguig location joined the Michelin Selected list this year, adding another alumni connection through restaurant management and business leadership.

Cruz’s inclusion broadens the story beyond culinary training. Restaurant groups also depend on leaders who manage operations, guide teams, and make decisions about the business. His career offers a distinct example of how a business graduate can contribute to the dining industry.

That breadth was already evident in the inaugural selection. Enderun alumna Erin Recto received the Philippines’ inaugural Michelin Service Award for her work at Hapag. Michelin recognized her warmth, professionalism, and ability to bring together operations and hospitality.

Her recognition accompanied another individual achievement within the Enderun community. Don Patrick Baldosano of Linamnam received the inaugural Michelin Young Chef Award. Both Hapag and Linamnam earned One Michelin Star in the 2026 edition and retained their distinctions for 2027.

Other alumni connections established during the first edition include RJ Ramos and Alphonse Sotero of Lampara and Papillon, alongside Lampara head chef Jeanina Phoebe Punla and co-owner Prince Tan. Enderun also celebrated Kevin Soliven and Arlo Gregorio of Metiz and Automat, Bryan Carlo Favila of Kodawari, and Marc Francis Chua, Jonathan Chantong, and Juliana Ross Guzman of Seva.

The college’s roster also includes Patricia Benedicto of Antonio’s Tagaytay, Balay Dako, and Azalea, Harold Flores of Steak and Frice, and Keona Liuson and Chino Recto of Now Now Canteen. Their responsibilities cover culinary work, service, brand direction, and operations.

The increase from 30 to 49 represents 19 more alumni identified across the two editions. It also gives prospective students a clearer view of the professional paths available through Enderun’s different programs.

Some graduates lead kitchens. Others establish restaurants, oversee businesses, or shape the guest experience through service and wine. Across the 2026 and 2027 selections, their work places Enderun alumni in several of the roles that help recognized restaurants deliver their standards every day.
