Recipes for the Holidays: Candy Cane Fizzy Mocktail

(Makes 8 Drinks)

Ingredients:

  • 32oz Pomegranate Juice

  • 2 Cups of sugar (You may switch out with 3-4 tbsp of Stevia)

  • 16oz of your choice of flavored sparkling water. (Citrus flavors such as lime, lemon, orange are encouraged, but you may use whatever you prefer)

  • 8 candy canes

  • Ice



Preparation:

  1. Bring the pomegranate juice to a boil in a saucepan. Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer until it is reduced by half. This may take around 15-20 minutes. 

  2. Add in the sugar or stevia and stir well. Make sure the sugar dissolves completely. Take it off the heat.

  3. Place the pomegranate mixture in a well sealed container and chill in the refrigerator until ready to be used. 


Directions:

  1. In a glass pour half a cup of your choice of sparkling flavored water. 

  2. Add in 2 tablespoons of the pomegranate syrup.

  3. Add ice and stir gently.

  4. Add the candy cane for decoration as well as a slight minty flair.
