Scoot Expands Indonesia Network with Four New Destinations: Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang, and Semarang

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), today announced the launch of four new routes to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang, and Semarang, further strengthening its connectivity across Indonesia.


With the addition of these cities, Scoot’s network in Indonesia will expand to 15 destinations, operating over 120 weekly flights. Across its global operations, Scoot will serve 83 destinations in 17 countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.


“We are delighted to deepen our presence in Indonesia, one of our most important markets,” said a Scoot spokesperson. “These new routes will offer greater travel flexibility for our customers, support tourism and business links, and provide more convenient connections through our Singapore hub.”


New Routes and Launch Dates

  • Labuan Bajo – Beginning 21 December 2025, Scoot will operate twice-weekly flights using its Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The coastal town, located on the western tip of Flores Island, is renowned for its pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and proximity to Komodo National Park.

  • Semarang – Starting 23 December 2025, Scoot will fly three times weekly to Semarang, the capital of Central Java, using the Airbus A320 family aircraft. The frequency will increase to four times weekly from 1 January 2026.

  • Palembang – From 15 January 2026, Scoot will introduce four weekly flights to Palembang, the historic capital of South Sumatra, operated by the Embraer E190-E2.

  • Medan – Scoot will commence daily flights to Medan, the capital of North Sumatra and gateway to Lake Toba, starting 1 February 2026, operated by the Airbus A320 family aircraft.


These new routes underscore Scoot’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint in key regional markets and offering customers more affordable travel options across Asia and beyond.
