StarDream Cruises has announced a significant reduction in fuel surcharges across its StarCruises and Dream Cruises brands, providing travellers with more affordable cruise vacation options throughout Asia. The revised surcharge structure will take effect for all applicable sailings departing on or after 26 June 2026.

Under the new arrangement, guests embarking from Singapore and Malaysia will benefit from a complete waiver of fuel surcharges, while passengers sailing from Taiwan and Hong Kong will receive a 50 percent reduction from the current surcharge level. The move reflects improving market conditions and the company's commitment to delivering greater value to its guests.
The surcharge reductions follow a period of stabilization in global fuel prices, which has eased operating cost pressures faced by the cruise industry over recent months. By adjusting its surcharge policy, StarDream Cruises aims to ensure that guests directly benefit from the improved operating environment.
Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, said the decision underscores the company's customer-focused approach and commitment to transparent pricing.
"As fuel prices have continued to stabilize, we are pleased to reduce and, where possible, fully waive the fuel surcharge across our deployments," said Goh.
"We have always taken a transparent approach to fuel surcharges, introducing them only when necessary and reviewing them regularly. As operating conditions improve, we believe it is important to pass these benefits on to our guests."
The revised surcharge policy represents a notable change from measures introduced earlier this year. In March 2026, StarCruises and Dream Cruises implemented a fuel surcharge of US$15 per person, per night on selected sailings to help mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs and ongoing market volatility. The surcharge was introduced as a temporary measure designed to address fluctuating operational expenses while maintaining service quality and onboard experiences.
With fuel markets showing greater stability, the company is now able to ease these additional charges, helping travelers enjoy more competitive cruise fares and enhanced vacation value. The surcharge reductions are expected to benefit a wide range of guests across the company's key Asian homeports, including popular departures from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
StarDream Cruises emphasized that it remains committed to closely monitoring global energy markets and operating conditions. The company will continue to review its fuel surcharge policy on a regular basis and make further adjustments when appropriate to ensure fair and transparent pricing for customers.
The latest announcement reinforces StarDream Cruises' ongoing efforts to balance operational sustainability with customer affordability, while maintaining the high standards of service and onboard experiences that guests have come to expect from both the StarCruises and Dream Cruises brands.
