Japan–Bangkok Routes Tap Millennial & Gen Z Markets
Thailand is expanding short-haul access with three new Japan–Bangkok services, operated by Thai AirAsia X and Thai Lion Air, connecting Sendai, Hokkaido, and Osaka.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported a 4.16% year-on-year increase in Japanese visitors in 2024, driven by growing interest among younger travellers. Thai AirAsia X’s four-times-weekly Sendai–Bangkok flight launched December 1, carrying over 100 youth football players from Tohoku. Thai Lion Air operates three-times-weekly Hokkaido and four-times-weekly Osaka services.

Qatar Airways Returns to Canberra with Starlink Wi-Fi
Qatar Airways resumed daily flights to Canberra via Melbourne on December 2, expanding its Australian network to six cities. All flights now include complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi, enhancing passenger experience.
South Korea Airlines Roll Out Starlink Across Fleets

Air France introduced Phuket as its second Thai destination this winter, offering three weekly non-stop flights from Paris. Along with KLM, the carriers now provide 27 weekly flights to Thailand, reinforcing the Kingdom’s international connectivity.
