EVENTS: WOFEX Baguio 2026

Last month, the Discovering Hospitality team made its way up to Baguio City for the The 2026 World Food Expo. The 3-day event was held at the Baguio Convention Center from March 26-28,

This, upon entering the venue, as with other WOFEX events, the registration area was well-organized and quick. There was no entrance fee, making it accessible to all who are curious, including students and people not necessarily involved in the food and beverage industry.

Something that was almost immediately noticeable was the crowd turnout for the event. As soon as the day starts, the venue quickly fills up with people eager to explore what’s inside. When it hits around midday, it gets a little difficult to navigate the aisles as people sample products, ask about packaging options, and watch the cooking demonstrations. As usual, there’s a lot going on at the same time, and it’s best to take your time to take it all in.

Among the booths and companies that attended the event, there was a mix of manufacturers and food-related brands. Some were familiar due to seeing them at other WOFEX events, such as McCormick, Peotraco, Blu Coffee Distributors, and Euroblade, just to name a few. Other participating companies included Alaska, Island Gas, Alternatives Food Corp., Pacific Prime, Prima Natura, Hyundai, and many more.

WOFEX always has an educational arm when it comes to its events. There were seminars and workshops which included a wide variety of topics such as Building High-Performing Teams in Food Operations, Purpose-Driven Strategy Workshop: Build A Business That’s For Growth, People and Impact, Strategic Menu Planning and Engineering for Restaurant Growth, Trens in Consumer Dining Behavior: What Guests Want in 2026, Inventory Management System 101: Maximizing Profits, The Barista Mastery: A Guide to Essentail Coffee Techniques, and The Business of Roasting: Start Your Own Coffee Roastery. Many interesting topics exploring different aspects of the food and beverage industry. From understanding customers to starting businesses and managing kitchens, anyone can sign up and enroll to learn from industry experts and successful business owners.

It was interesting to see a glimpse of what WOFEX events are like outside of Manila. The country has so much to offer, whether it’s in a business district or a growing city. WOFEX brings people and brands together in one place for budding opportunities and networking.

If you haven’t attended a WOFEX event yet, check out their website for more information. There are scheduled events all over the country. The next regional event will be held in Cagayan de Oro from May 21-23, and another WOFEX event will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Davao from June 18-20.

Visit a WOFEX event on the next chance you get and explore and learn about the food and beverage industry and make some connections along the way.
