Gordon Ramsay partners with Michelin to produce new TV show

Gordon Ramsay's production company has partnered with Michelin for a new eight-episode documentary series exploring 'the high-stakes world of international fine dining'.

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, which will be shown on Apple TV+, follows chefs across the world over the course of a year as they attempt to either gain their first Michelin star, strive towards getting a second or even third star, or work to retain their current status. It is hosted by Jesse Burgess, the co-founder and presenter of social media sensation Topjaw.

The series is described as having 'exclusive' Michelin Guide access and features chefs in cities including Los Angeles, London, Mexico City, and Copenhagen as they attempt to win a star or face the blow of losing one.

''As a chef, the pursuit of perfection is everything, and you cannot underestimate the unbelievable drive and ambition, the determination and sacrifice, these chefs are going through day in and day out, chasing the dream of acknowledgment from The Michelin Guide," says Ramsay, the show's executive producer.

No release date has been announced for the show, which is being produced by Studio Ramsay Global, but it is understood to be airing later this year.
