NEWS: Andalusia Travel & Tours Expands Into Singapore, Bringing New Competition to the Umrah Market

Malaysia’s largest Umrah and Hajj travel provider, Andalusia Travel & Tours, has officially entered the Singapore market, introducing a new option for Muslims seeking accessible, value-driven pilgrimage travel services.
The Singapore operation was officially launched on 27 August, marking a new chapter for the Malaysian-based pilgrimage operator, which has served more than 800,000 pilgrims since 2002.
The expansion is aimed at responding to the needs of Singaporean Muslims, particularly travellers seeking competitively priced Umrah packages, trusted pilgrimage guidance and greater access to educational resources before embarking on their journey.
“Our goal is to build a presence that responds to the needs and aspirations of Singaporeans,” said Hajah Ida Riswana, Founder of Andalusia Travel & Tours.
As part of its market entry, Andalusia is offering introductory Umrah packages from S$2,990 per person for a 12-day, 10-night journey. The offering is expected to appeal to Singapore residents who have traditionally travelled to Malaysia to explore more competitively priced pilgrimage options.
“Our purpose in Singapore is to make the journey towards Umrah and Hajj feel within reach for more people,” said Fara Abdullah, Managing Director of Andalusia Malaysia Travel & Tours.
“That means providing greater choice and value for those ready to travel, trusted guidance for those taking their first steps, and being present in the community long before a pilgrimage begins. Our hope is for Andalusia to be a place Singaporeans can turn to wherever they are in that journey.”
Building a Community Around Pilgrimage Education
Beyond travel packages, Andalusia says its Singapore operation will focus on three key areas: affordability, knowledge and community engagement.
The company plans to offer free weekly educational classes for Muslims and members of the wider community at different stages of their pilgrimage journey. The sessions will cover the fundamentals of Umrah and Hajj, key rituals and practical preparations for the pilgrimage.
The classes will be held every Sunday from 9 a.m to 11 a.m at Andalusia’s Singapore office at 8A Pahang Street.
Andalusia is also working with Iman Kindergarten to introduce pilgrimage education to children through activities including Tawaf and Sa’i simulations, giving younger participants an age-appropriate introduction to the rituals associated with Umrah and Hajj.
The company’s community initiatives extend beyond education. As part of its Singapore launch, Andalusia is sponsoring an Umrah journey for a beneficiary of PPIS Rise Above Halfway House, which supports women undergoing community rehabilitation.
Established Pilgrimage Expertise
Andalusia brings its experience in pilgrimage travel to the Singapore market, supported by a network that includes more than 200 trained Mutawwif, or pilgrimage guides, as well as an ecosystem of more than 200 travel agencies.
The company says this network will support its efforts to provide pilgrims with guidance and assistance throughout their pilgrimage journey.
With its combination of competitively priced packages, pilgrimage education and community initiatives, Andalusia’s entry is set to introduce a new offering to Singapore’s established and competitive Umrah travel market.
The company’s Singapore expansion represents the latest step in its efforts to make Umrah and Hajj travel more accessible while building long-term relationships with the communities it serves.
