Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a global leader in innovative cruise experiences, today announced the appointment of Marc Kazlauskas as its new president, effective January 19, 2026. Kazlauskas brings more than three decades of senior leadership experience across sales, operations, and strategic growth within the global travel industry.

Kazlauskas joins NCL from Avoya Travel, where he most recently served as CEO. Prior to that, he was president of Frosch Travel Agency, where he demonstrated a strong track record of driving commercial growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
“Marc is a proven leader with deep commercial expertise and an unwavering commitment to the guest experience,” said Harry Sommer, president and CEO of NCL. “His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the company, and we are confident in his ability to lead our organization to continued success.” Sommer has been serving as interim president since David Herrera’s departure in August 2025.
This new role marks Kazlauskas’ return to the supplier side of the travel industry, where he began his career with Orient Lines. He later spent 12 years as president of the U.S. operations for Insight Vacations and has held senior executive positions at Trafalgar and Tauck. Beyond his corporate leadership roles, Kazlauskas has contributed extensively to the broader travel community, serving on the Board of Directors for Signature Travel Network and participating on advisory boards for major global airlines and travel companies.
Reflecting on his appointment, Kazlauskas said, “This is an exciting moment for Norwegian Cruise Line. With the upcoming debut of Norwegian Luna, a strong pipeline of newbuilds through 2036, and major enhancements to Great Stirrup Cay, the company is exceptionally well-positioned for future success. I look forward to leading our talented team as we continue to deliver extraordinary experiences to our guests.”
Kazlauskas’ extensive experience in both the agency and supplier sides of travel, coupled with his proven leadership in operations and commercial strategy, positions him to drive NCL’s continued growth and innovation in the global cruise industry.
