Candy-hued sands and family attractions set to transform Batu Ferringhi’s iconic coastline Penang’s world-famous Batu Feringghi beachfront is about to turn a shade brighter this November with the grand opening of the island’s first-ever pink-sand beach attraction, a vibrant new 7,500-square-metre coastal destination designed to delight visitors of all ages.
The new pink-sand seaside experience promises to become a must-visit spot for travelers seeking picture-perfect moments, with its candy-colored sands providing a striking contrast against Penang’s golden sunsets. The destination is designed not just for social media-worthy photos, but also as a full-day leisure experience combining relaxation, play, and outdoor adventure.
In addition to its signature pink beach, the attraction will feature a dedicated children’s play zone, offering safe and imaginative activities for younger visitors, as well as a camping area for families and groups looking to enjoy weekend getaways by the sea.
“We’re excited to add a splash of color, literally, to Penang’s vibrant coastal scene,” said a spokesperson for the development team. “Our goal is to create a space where families, couples, and content creators alike can come together to enjoy nature, creativity, and connection in one beautiful setting.”
The pink-sand beach will join Batu Feringghi’s bustling lineup of beach resorts, restaurants, and entertainment spots, further enhancing Penang’s reputation as a leading regional travel destination.
The opening also reflects a growing trend in Asia for colorful and themed beach destinations, following in the footsteps of attractions like Batam’s Blue Fire Beach Club, known for its bright pink sands, swim-up bar, and live performances.
With its mix of aesthetic appeal, family-friendly amenities, and community-driven design, Penang’s new pink-sand beach is poised to become one of Malaysia’s most talked-about seaside attractions of 2025.
