Princess Cruises Announces Return to Singapore with Two Ships Homeporting for 2026-2027 Season

Princess Cruises is making a grand return to Singapore, announcing that two of its iconic ships — Sapphire Princess and Diamond Princess — will homeport in the Lion City for the 2026-2027 cruise season.

For the first time since the 2018-2019 season, Sapphire Princess will join Diamond Princess in sailing from Singapore, offering guests a wide range of exciting itineraries across Southeast Asia and the Far East. Both ships, each capable of accommodating up to 2,670 guests, will provide enhanced capacity and expanded voyage options for the region.

Sapphire Princess holds a special place in Princess Cruises' history in Asia, having been the first ship in the fleet to homeport in Singapore. She operated six successful seasons from 2014 to 2020. Now, she returns with 18 round-trip voyages from Singapore, including festive holiday cruises and extended sailings featuring late-night stays in iconic destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.

The Sapphire Princess will also undertake an epic 33-night transpacific repositioning cruise departing Los Angeles on October 15, 2025. The voyage will include calls in Hawaii, Taiwan, Yokohama, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, before arriving in Singapore.

Meanwhile, Diamond Princess is set to return to Singapore from December 2025 to February 2026 for her third season in the region, offering more opportunities for guests to explore Asia’s most sought-after destinations. Following her Singapore deployment, Diamond Princess will embark on an extended Japan season from February to November 2026, featuring 35 itineraries ranging from seven to 28 days.
