Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has strengthened its U.S. global sales organization with the appointment of two experienced hospitality professionals, Reena Shanahan and Jillian Cauvin, as directors of global sales. The strategic hires underscore ALHI's continued investment in expanding its reach across key U.S. markets while enhancing support for meeting planners, corporate clients, and its portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts.
The appointments come as the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector continues to evolve, with demand for personalized service, strategic partnerships, and luxury experiences driving growth across the hospitality industry.
"We are excited to welcome Jillian and Reena to the ALHI family as they will play an important role in growing our Mid-Atlantic and Southeast presence," said Michael Dominguez, President and CEO of ALHI. "Their experience, polish and professionalism help us round out our already incredibly talented global sales teams."
Together, Shanahan and Cauvin bring more than 40 years of combined expertise in hospitality sales, business development, strategic account management, and client engagement—experience that will support ALHI's efforts to strengthen relationships with meeting professionals and corporate buyers across the United States.
Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Market
Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Shanahan will oversee ALHI's Mid-Atlantic sales efforts. She brings more than two decades of experience across hospitality sales, business development, and healthcare operations.
Her career includes leadership roles with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Omni Hotels, and Teneo Hospitality Group, where she managed a portfolio of more than 60 independent and branded hotels while developing strategic partnerships and driving business growth across multiple markets.
Her background in account management and sales leadership is expected to further enhance ALHI's ability to connect member hotels with high-value meetings and events opportunities throughout the region.
Expanding Presence Across the South
Cauvin joins ALHI to lead global sales initiatives across the Southern United States from her base in Atlanta. With more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing—including 13 years focused on hospitality—she brings deep expertise in group meetings and strategic client development.
Most recently, she served as Global Group & Meetings Manager for Sports and Entertainment at Choice Hotels International, following a successful tenure with IHG Hotels & Resorts, where she advanced through several global sales leadership roles before becoming Account Director.
Her experience working with major corporate and group clients is expected to further strengthen ALHI's ability to deliver tailored solutions for meeting planners and event organizers across the region.
A Strategic Investment in Hospitality Growth
The appointments reflect ALHI's ongoing commitment to investing in experienced commercial talent as the organization continues to expand its influence within the luxury hospitality and meetings sectors.
By enhancing its global sales leadership, ALHI is positioning itself to create new business opportunities for its member properties while supporting the growing demand for premium meeting destinations and exceptional guest experiences.
As competition intensifies within the luxury hospitality market, strategic leadership appointments such as these highlight the increasing importance of relationship-driven sales, regional expertise, and personalized service in driving long-term industry growth.
With Shanahan and Cauvin joining the organization, ALHI continues to reinforce its position as a leading global sales and marketing partner for independent luxury hotels, resorts, and destination experiences worldwide.
